Our principal investigator (Prof. Ian Meiklejohn) and two students (Christel Hansen and Liezel Rudolph) have all received news that their abstracts have been accepted to ICOP 2016. They will all be presenting their work at the conference on 20 and 24 June.
Liezel and Christel will be presenting their work during the 16:15 – 18:15 poster session on Thursday, 23 June, in the foyer of the Kongresshotel. Liezel will be presenting on ‘Surface characteristics of rock glaciers in the Jutulsessen, Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica‘, while Christel will present on ‘Short-term changes observed in the ground thermal regime following the construction of a building: A case study from the Antarctic’.
On Friday, 24 June, Christel will present on her work on ‘Investigations into the ground thermal regime near Troll station, in the Jutulsessen of Antarctica: 2007-2016’ during the 09:15-10:15 session in room 0.217. Prof Meiklejohn will be speaking at the same location but from 10:45-12:00 on his work on ‘Active Layer Monitoring in Western Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica since 2007’.
