Christel and Gaby both have posters at the conference. Gaby’s poster will be displayed on 23 August and Christel’s on 25 August during the poster sessions held in Ballroom 2 from 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM. Christel’s poster is titled ‘The use of proxy data to determine patterns of rock exposure on a nunatak in western Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica’, whereas Gaby’s poster is titled ‘The influence of the natural environment on habitat preference for lichens in Western Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica’.
Christel will be speaking on ‘Observations on frost mounds in the Jutulsessen, Antarctica’ and ‘Seasonal and diurnal frost environments in western Dronning Maud Land: Preliminary observations’ from 12:30 PM – 12:45 PM and 3:30 PM – 3:45 PM respectively.
Jessica will be presenting on her Masters work from 12:45 PM – 13:00 PM, directly after Christel’s first presentation. Jessica’s work is titled ‘Characteristics on tafoni formation in Western Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica’.
Ian will be speaking directly after Jessica, from 13:00-13:15, on ‘Active layer landforms and environments in the Ahlamnnryggen and Jutulsessen areas, Western Dronning Maud Land’.
Gaby will be presenting on her Masters work from 16:15-16:30. Her presentation will cover ‘The influence of the natural environment on habitat preference for lichens in Western Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica’.
