Workshops at SCAR 2016

Categories

Saturday was spent in workshops, specifically the ANTPAS workshop, which focused on research strategy and the next two years until the 2018 SCAR conference to be held in Davos, Switzerland. The workshop was held from 9:00-13:00 at the Renaissance Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. A number of important actions and goals came out of the meeting. Ian will be part of a number of actions that look at fostering the collaborative work between permafrost and active layer sciences and the biological and ecological sciences. Christel will be part of the group that will improve the communication and dissemination of information on what ANTPAS does and works on. We look forward to hearing more from this Expert Group of SCAR. A picture of Mauro Guglielmin, one of the co-chairs, can be seen in the picture below addressing the participants of the workshop. #SCAR2016 #Antarcticscience #SCAR2016Malaysia

A number of the South African delegation have also left for home and it was sad to see those, that had to leave, depart. We wish them all a safe journey!
