Day #5 – First Iceberg Sighted!

img-20161205-wa0000Yesterday it was foggy all day while the ship continued on her journey South. Today the Agulhas II is at 49S, 2E. There were some rough waves initially but eventually the sea calmed down. Last night temperature was already down to 7 degree Celsius and today the thermometer is reading a balmy 3 degrees Celsius. Last night everyone also turned their clocks back by an additional hour so the ship is now on GMT.  Spirits have been raised with the sight of the first two icebergs off towards the western horizon!
